as we are used to say for the date 23. of june. actualy it''s a victory of a battle we had around 1920 or something like that. i''m not so good in history. but it is celebrated as a national holiday and plus the 24. of june is national holiday also. this day is called as the midsummer day.
the meaning of this day is simple - we make huge campfires and jump over them and when the night comes we go looking for the glowflower. actually it doesn''t exist (but this is a secret and i didn''t tell you nothing), it''s just the glowworm which shines so bright in the night and everybody thinks that this is the flower. why we are looking for it so eagerly? the reason is that whoever finds it has found everlasting happiness.
and plus the enormous amounts of beer and meat we eat and drink. it''s a great day for all the breweries.
and today it happened again, for this year. tomorrow it will go on, and on the 25th too, for 3 straight days. unfortunately i'', working tomorrow for 4 hours.
today we had the fire, beer, meat, family, sauna, swimming, rain (it always rains on that day), games, fun. nothing extraordinary or something, but this is like christmas without the gifts - people eat and drink like crazy. plus there are so many accidents during these days. the rate of people getting killed on one day is the highest during the year. and only because of people driving while being drunk.
well, something happened. i washed my car and started to wax it too but as soon as i was finished with washing the car it started to rain. weird. really. :S
